That’s a really good question I’ve kicked around for a while. What is the point of blogging, especially if you don’t follow the usual advice of focusing on a very specific niche? I really do think it’s great advice to pick a very specific subject, think up 50 article titles and be the best at that one thing.
And it’s also a good idea to create a website as an extension of a resume, or brag site for your past work and projects.
On the other hand, personal websites or blogs bring back memories (at least for some of us) of those Web 1.0, pre-Facebook era spots for everything from camping pictures to recipes.
They are like telling someone about the dream you had last night: Chances are there’s only one person in that conversation who is interested. You.
So what is this about?
It’s a combination of things really.
It’s an introduction to people I haven’t met yet.
It’s a place to iron out thoughts about business, trends, work and life.
And its about getting into the habit of writing as a daily exercise.
So here goes…
